Artist Statement
Sandra’s work focuses on landscape, natural or constructed, and its relations with social practices. Her research-based practice is currently invested in creating through expired materials, take advantage of discarded or unused materials, and experimenting with some more sustainable methods. Her work appear weaved across the manifold material manifestations like drawings, frotages, video, text, chemigrams or anthotypes. ​​​​​​​

Bio 
Sandra Teixeira (1993), photographer and author in the audiovisual field, lives and works in Porto. In 2018, she completed the Master in Audiovisual Communication – Documentary Photography at School of Media Arts and Design (ESMAD), with the final project entitled Visual Spaces of Change: from image and space to its limits. She collaborated with the research group CCRE - Center for Communication and Spatial Representation at The Faculty of Architecture - University of Porto, where she worked with Scopio Editions in the field of Architecture, Landscape and Territory Photography. She was selected as Finalist of the IPCI Documentary Photography Scholarship. In 2021 she completed the Master in Artistic Photography at IPCI and was selected as an Emergent Artist by Scopio Magazine. She does photography and video commissions for various agencies. Participates in artistic residences and in individual and collective exhibitions.
